4 women 365 days

Who are we & what are we doing? There is Ann from Houston Texas, & Diane, Laura and Nancy~all from Half Moon Bay California. Nancy is the common denominator and she asked her three photographer friends to join her in a 365 day photo project. It started 1 January 2010! Every day, Ann, Diane, Laura & Nancy will take a photo of anything that speaks to them that day, and the photos will be posted on this blog.

Nancy

Nancy
I am a photographer, traveler and animal lover. I love to look at the world in many different ways and to try to capture the world's uniqueness with my photography. When people ask me what kind of photography I shoot, it is difficult to answer. Depends upon the day, I guess. 2010 is the year I want to learn to use my photography with other art forms, like encaustic and mixed media (thanks Laura for your inspiration) !

Ann

Ann
I am passionate about many things in life – family, friends, travel, and in particular, photography. When I am shooting my Nikon, I feel connected and purposeful. I have an eclectic collection of work and have yet to narrow my field of interest. Perhaps I never will.

Diane

Diane
I am a photographer, artist, wife, sister, friend, neighbor and go to gal. I have been living on the coast for almost 20 years and love it along with walking the dogs, coffee and conversation with friends, hawaiian slack key guitar, hanging out with the hubby and favorite furry kid Gromit (only furry kid).

I work with mixed media and am inspired by ephemera: found paper, esp. if in a foreign language, old magazine ads, postcards, photos - it is all stuff I keep and work into my art. I work in encaustic, acrylic, oil and watercolor and also do monotype prints. I am available for commissioned pieces too. I am interested in creating my own photography as a source for my other artistic interests. Participating in photo challenges is a way for me to improve my photographic skillage.
